Hi, there, and welcome! I’m Peti, a 23-year-old living in Ohio after some exciting adventures in Spain and Mexico. I graduated from college in 2007, and currently work in the nonprofit world. If I had multiple lifetimes, I’d be a musician, massage therapist, journalist, and ethnomusicologist. Since it looks like I only have one (for now at least!), I’ll have to make a decision!
I don’t stick to a particular topic here. Instead, I write about little things that strike me as cool, unusual, or funny. I realize that the “I write about whatever ’strikes me’” blogs are usually terrible, and I’ll try to avoid that. I will also avoid launching into religious and political diatribes; there are lots of blogs about those topics already. And do I need hate mail? No, I do not.

Your posts on UC shootings make me think that the crime rate has exploded in Clifton since I graduated in 2005. Is this so?

I’m no cop, so I can’t say for sure what has happened to the crime rate in Clifton. I doubt it has seriously increased since 2005. I graduated in 2007, and while I was living in Clifton, a lot of improvements were made, at least in appearance. Honestly, I believe that moving out of Clifton to a different neighborhood made me realize how dangerous Clifton is, and how truly frightening some of it is. Also, as UC spreads out into the surrounding neighborhood with buildings like the new apartments on Clifton, there seems to be some backlash from the overlap (ie: the forced entry and shooting I described.)
